Deejay Mo’J is a Belgian-Iranian DJ, producer and songwriter whose musical identity has been shaped by club culture, R&B, electronic music and Persian influences.

Before focusing on original production, Deejay Mo’J built his experience behind the decks. For several years, he was a resident DJ at Planet Cocktail in Brussels and also performed in various clubs and events. Those years taught him how to read a dancefloor, build tension, control energy and understand the emotional impact of the right record at the right moment.

In 2008, becoming a father marked a major turning point. He stepped away from nightlife and live DJ performances to focus on his family, while continuing to mix and create remixes and mashups in his own time.

Between 2015 and 2016, several of those productions were shared publicly online. His remix work reached tens of thousands of plays on Audiomack, while his final public remix from that period, “Verse Simmonds – Situationships (Me & You Remix),” was released on September 11, 2016.

In 2017, the birth of his second son confirmed a new priority. Deejay Mo’J then put music completely aside and devoted himself to his family.

Nearly a decade later, 2026 marked his return.

This time, Deejay Mo’J did not return simply as a DJ or remixer. He came back as a producer and artist focused on creating original music, complete projects and a coherent visual identity.

His 2026 projects reveal the different sides of that identity. Yalla World explores Middle Eastern influences and his Iranian roots through contemporary production. Afterworld moves into a more cinematic and electronic universe driven by melody, energy and emotion. Pull Up (Back to the Past) revisits the atmosphere of 2000s R&B and hip-hop through a modern production lens.

Rather than staying inside one genre, Deejay Mo’J approaches every project as its own world — with a story, a sound, a visual identity and an emotion.

His years behind the decks taught him how to understand an audience. His years of remixing taught him how to connect different musical worlds. His return to production allows him to build those worlds from the ground up.

From Brussels nightlife to a long family pause and a full creative return in 2026, one idea has remained constant: Deejay Mo’J stepped away from the clubs, but never lost his connection to music.

Born artistically in Belgium, shaped by Iranian roots and inspired by several generations of music, Deejay Mo’J creates without borders.
